FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NFL Veteran to join Northern Illinois Youth Sports Organization in presenting “Take Your Parent to Dinner Night” June 1, 2010 Zion, Illinois –- The Northern Illinois Youth Sports Organization is hosting its first “Take Your Parent to Dinner Night” on Wednesday June 16, 2010 at the Illinois Beach Resort and Conference Center. Serving as special hosts of the evening will be Bracy and Levoda Walker of Gurnee, IL. Walker, a 12 year veteran of the NFL and College All American, will share his experiences with the audience, which will be filled with local youth football players and cheerleaders. In addition, the Walker’s will speak to the attendees about the importance of families spending quality time together and making athletics a part of family activities. “The goal of this event is to invite families to get together around the dinner table to enjoy a night out and support a great cause” said Jonathan Hadnott founder and president of the new formed organization. “For years studies have shown that children who participate in frequent family meals are more likely to avoid drugs and alcohol, perform better in the classroom, avoid legal troubles and are less likely to suffer from eating disorders.” “This is a great event and I am excited about the opportunity to improve quality of life for the families in our community.” Doors open at 5:45pm and dinner will be served at 6:00pm. Advance tickets are available each week at NIFFL Flag Football Games on Sundays from 1:00pm-5:00pm at David Park in Zion, IL or by contacting NIYSO at 224-717-0063.
